Plague

"The Plague" by Albert Camus is a parable novel. A terrible disease comes to the city - and people begin to die. The city fathers, hiding the truth, make the inhabitants hostages of the epidemic. And everyone faces a choice: to fight for life, to look for a way out or to accept the reign of the plague, with inevitable death. Many literary critics "read" in the novel the events in France during the fascist occupation.
