Character and Destiny. Can the Chain Be Broken?

The book contains works by outstanding psychologists devoted to the role of fate in human life. Sigmund Freud (1856 - 1939), an Austrian psychoanalyst and founder of psychoanalysis, believed that fate is rigidly determined by complex sexual motives hidden in the individual's subconscious and setting the algorithm of his life. Alfred Adler (1870 - 1937), initially one of Freud's closest students, later diverged from him in his views, including on the subject of fate and the nature of the human personality. Adler did not deny the connection between these concepts, but was sure that a person can change his fate. However, he agreed with Freud that most people never think about the reasons for their actions, do not know how to analyze the present and accept the lessons of fate.
