Lukyanov: With the onset of the pandemic, the main character moves from the capital to Chuvashia for a year, to his wife's relatives, and finds himself in an unfamiliar world that obeys its own internal laws. Watching his little son, who understands and at the same time does not understand his parents' native languages - Russian and Chuvash, the hero involuntarily compares himself to the baby, studying the local way of life and trying to adapt to the unfamiliar mentality and new pace of life. This story, written in the leisurely Shukshin style, is full of funny dialogues and paradoxical encounters.
