"Risen from the Dust" is a novel whose origins are in the stories "April Witchcraft", "Uncle Einar" and "The Wanderer", on which more than one generation of Soviet and then Russian readers grew up. This book was written over half a century, reflecting all the most important events of the 20th century, but reflecting them in the way that only Bradbury could do - through childhood. In the family chronicle of the Elliots, the heroes of "Risen from the Dust", the stories of Count Dracula and an Egyptian mummy, a mouse that traveled half the world and the ghost of the "Orient Express", four disembodied cousins and the Voice of Thebes are intertwined.
