Feeling and sensitivity

A whole gallery of vivid images of contemporaries of the classic of English literature Jane Austen - noble and insidious, reckless and cowardly, prim and timid - appear on the pages of her works. Austen's first mature novel "Sense and Sensibility" is about the fates of two sisters, the prudent Elinor and the ardent Marianne. The girls see the world differently: one listens to the voice of the heart, the other acts as her mind tells her. Each of them fights for the opportunity to marry her beloved in spite of all the circumstances. After all, both desperately want the same thing - love and happiness. The book has been filmed more than once. The film "Sense and Sensibility" by Ang Lee with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant in the lead roles won many international film awards, including an Oscar.
