April 1970, Colombia. Spouses Alma Santacruz and Nacho Caicedo are preparing to celebrate their thirtieth wedding anniversary. For this occasion, friends and relatives gather in their luxurious home in a prestigious area of Bogota. A seemingly wonderful occasion will entail many curious and tragic events, into the whirlpool of which dozens of characters will be drawn. Against the backdrop of large and small life dramas, fundamental questions are raised - about the fate of the country, unbearable living conditions, the nature of violence and the limits of what is permitted.
