Longyu. Sayings
Number of pages: 416
Cover: Softcover
In the entire history of world philosophy, there are few thinkers who could be placed next to Confucius (VI-V centuries BC). The legendary great Teacher, an indisputable authority for the Chinese philosophical tradition, he has long since stepped beyond its not at all narrow boundaries. The legacy of Confucius, if we discard the mass of dubious and openly attributed to him texts, looks very laconic. The book of sayings "Lunyu", written down by Confucius's students, is one of the most indisputable books of the famous philosopher.
Until recently, Confucius was more heard than read about, so our edition of Lunyu is supplemented by the works of Confucius's students, as well as extensive commentary and biographical explanations that have accumulated over the past two thousand years.
